Raccoon Problems in Los Angeles County

Los Angeles County residents seek solutions to Raccoon Problems:

We used to have raccoons in the attic but have not noticed them for a couple of months after we secured the vents. Now we have an unpleasant odor in the house, which most likely stems from raccoon urine/feces. The infected area is hard to get to. Peter N.

I trapped a raccoon last night for a neighbor because it was getting into the house and eating the dog food. The problem is, is that this morning when I look at him more closely he had no tail. Well, it was there but it was barely hanging by a thread at the base of it (ill spare the other details). I was just wondering if one of your traps have ever hurt the animal like that or if you think the raccoon got into some trouble elsewhere. I just don\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'t see how it could have happened with this cage. Thank you! Joe S.

I have a raccoon between the first and second floor. How he got there I am not sure. His head was seen sticking out between two rafters (floor/ceiling joists) where the furnace is located. I live in Burbank, California. Do you service this area? If not do you have any recommendations?

We are professional wildlife removal contractors offering animal control solutions based in California. We pride ourselves on our professional trapping services, and on quality snake, bird, and animal removal.

Pest Innovations #587 removes all sorts of wild animals and birds from residential and commercial properties, including bats, snakes, pigeons, skunks, raccoons, swallows, woodpeckers, voles, beavers, and rodents of every kind. Wild animals on your property can damage vegetation and structures and reduce property value. They also bring disease and a host of insect pests with them, which can adversely affect you, your family, and your pets. In your walls, in your attic, or on your roof wild animals can keep you up at night and their urine and droppings create a horrific smell. After my technicians and I perform wild animal removal, we can provide cleanup, sanitization, and deodorization to help restore your property; we can also provide exclusion services to keep your wildlife problem from recurring. Whether the problem is a colony of bats in a building, raccoons in the attic, or destructive behaviors of critters such as squirrels, gophers and pigeons, we can solve it.

We resolve many types of wildlife control conflicts in Los Angeles County and surrounding areas. Give me a call if you need expert animal removal and/or live wildlife trapping. We can also perform an inspection of your property to evaluate the problem.

The situations we resolve and main trapping and removal services we provide are: raccoon families in attics and chimneys, woodpeckers drilling siding. mud swallow nests on stucco, rats or squirrels thumping and bumping around inside walls and in attics, voles and gophers destroying lawns, skunks stealing pet food, bat infestations, and snakes living in crawlspaces and stone walls.

Along with physical damage and disease, wild animals also bring along disturbance and nuisance with all their commotion and smell. Raccoons and rats will fight all night and keep people awake; baby raccoons chirp and chitter like little birds; skunk smell takes the cake, but have you ever smelled a dead animal in your ventilation system? We have seen much, much more than these problems, but that is a general idea of the kinds of problems that I and my professional wildlife removal operators are prepared to solve.

Not only do my technicians and I trap and remove problem wild animals, we do a lot of other dirty work, too. Don’t hesitate to call us for dead animal removal, bat guano cleanup, pigeon waste removal, mouse dropping cleanup, decontamination, repairs, above ground and below ground rodent slick fencing, odor control for skunk spray, and the like. We are a full service pest control company with a wide range of animal control solutions.

For pigeon and bird control, bat removal, or relief from other pest animals, call our wildlife management experts. Many nuisance wildlife companies offer critter capture and control; our wildlife operators provide professional pest wild animal management. We remove the following AND MORE:

Bats in Los Angeles County, California

Throughout Los Angeles County, 30 rabid bats have been discovered between January and September 2014, many of them in the Newhall area, but also in Palmdale, Stevenson Ranch, Agua Dulce, Canyon Country, Monrovia, Topanga, Bradbury and other areas of Los Angeles.  The rabid bats that have been found were in many different locations: pools, patios, on the ground outside of homes, in garages, in side yards, on window screens, outside of businesses.  Some were dead, some hissed a lot, some flew right at people or cats and dogs, and others were found on the ground in broad daylight.  People and pets who handled or came near the bats have since been treated for rabies.

Los Angeles County is Home to More Wildlife Than You May Think

Sure, there are some odd wildlife encounters in Los Angeles, from a baboon roaming Chatsworth to a bear on a Northridge golf course to a hooded cobra slithering across a busy street.  The more common wild animals live right among us, thriving in and around our homes and businesses.  Raccoons, bats, foxes, mice, skunks, squirrels, opossums, chipmunks, mice and rats are drawn to our developments, especially when we’re experiencing a drought.  They’re more likely to find better food and water sources in neighborhoods than they are in the wild right now.  When drought conditions cause a loss of vegetation, they look to our homes, businesses, outbuildings and yards for shelter, water and food.  As the drought continues, we may see more human-wildlife encounters than usual.

Feral Cats Cause Problems in Los Angeles County, California

Feral Cats cause problems for family, neighbors and friends in Los Angeles County:

My mother feeds or has been feeding outside stray/feral cats for a while now...there are currently 15 cats that are defecating and scratching and urinating and getting into things outside as well as with the neighbors. My mother only feeds once a day now after a long battle with her to do so, but it is really getting out of control and with spring coming they need to be gone. They are really causing quite a problem and unfortunately my mother will not stop feeding them...please give me an idea of cost for removal of the pests...thanks Lisa H.

Cats started to appear, originally 2 males, no problem. Now we are at 7. At least 5 females, and 2 pregnant. I have asked for assistance in removing but no one has contacted be back. These animals are not aggressive but could be. Unfortunately we are feeding them as I cannot seem to just cut off their food source. The newest 5 were born last April. Mother and Father are not friendly at all. I cannot afford to continue to feed this growing population. Can you help? Rosemary S.

Please help. My brother fed stray cats and recently passed away. My mother is in her 80s and is so worried about the cats. We are seeking someone to help with this problem. There are 15 to 25 cats living under and around the house. I thought the best solution would be to taper off feeding them and they would go to greener pastures. She is grieving and wants someone to come capture the cats and take them to a shelter or something. Can you help or recommend someone that can? Thanks Debbie T.
